One of the more interesting concepts I read about in our text was "centre". Especially when discussing the centralized ideas in our podcast, I was able to think about how focusing more on certain concepts may take attention away from other ideas that could be important. For example, we talked about how Brian has not been very descriptive of any female characters throughout his storytelling. Perhaps this is a sign of misogyny, but more likely this is due to the centralization on the male characters, in a story that is predominantly driven by men. This example is both important and intriguing because it reminds us, as writers, to ration out how we fuse our narrative. Whether it's writing, singing, filmmaking, etcetera, it's important to be mindful of how too much focus or not enough can damage the integrity of a story.
